Message	after all the gains/losses the total curb weight is increased by ~25lbs. I can drop 25lbs by losing the spare tire, so the weight difference doesn't really give or take from the performance. The softtop is probably less aerodynamic, so unfortunantly I'm probably sacrificing a little overall performance for the droptop. For what it's worth, I drove a stock '95 TT a few days before I purchased my '91TT Convertible, and my convertible, "seat of the pants" feels faster.
